Mindful Communication Group (MCG) is seeking a licensed child therapist with experience in play-based interventions to join our team. This is an in-office role designed for clinicians who want the flexibility of a contractor position while also benefiting from administrative support, and a structured, collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide play therapy and child-focused mental health services

  • Use developmentally appropriate, evidence-based, and play-based interventions

  • Address concerns such as anxiety, behavioral challenges, trauma, emotional regulation, and social difficulties

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans

  • Collaborate with caregivers to support progress and carryover

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR

  • Maintain a consistent weekly schedule

What We’re Looking For

  • Active Virginia license for independent clinical practice
    (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist)

  • Master’s or Doctorate in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage & Family Therapy

  • Experience providing therapy to children

  • Registered Play Therapist (RPT) or SB-RPT OR at least 3+ years post-licensure experience using play therapy techniques
