About Girls Connect

Girls Connect is an 8-week summer social skills group for middle school girls ages 11-14, at our Newport News office. Each weekly session is a safe, fun, and structured space where girls learn and practice real-world social skills alongside peers who understand what they are going through.

Through guided activities, group discussions, and skill-building exercises, participants will develop the tools they need to navigate friendships, handle conflict, manage social anxiety, and show up confidently in the world.

Time: 10:30 AM — 11:30 AM

Location: Newport News, VA Office

Ages: Middle School Girls

Group Size: 6-8 Girls

Duration: 8 Weeks

Insurance: Medicaid, Medicare & most commercial insurance accepted

Step 2 — Schedule an Intake

Before joining the group each participant completes a brief individual intake appointment with our clinician. This helps us ensure the group is the right fit.

Step 3 — Join the Group

Once the intake is complete and the spot is confirmed she is ready to connect, grow, and thrive with Girls Connect this summer.

Insurance & Cost

Insurance acceptance varies by clinician. Please contact our office to confirm that your specific therapist is in-network with your insurance plan before scheduling.
