Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and flexible Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Early Intervention team as an Independent Contractor (PRN). This position involves providing early intervention speech-language therapy services to children and families in the Chesapeake, VA area.
As a key member of our early childhood team, you will use a coaching model to support families in promoting their child’s communication development within daily routines and activities.
Responsibilities:
Provide speech-language therapy services to infants and toddlers (birth to age 3) and their families
Deliver therapy using a coaching model to empower caregivers
Develop individualized, developmentally appropriate goals and interventions
Collaborate with service coordinators, other providers, and families to support team-based care
Complete required documentation (evaluations, treatment notes, progress summaries) in a timely manner
Maintain professional licensure and compliance with ITC regulations
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program is required.
Valid Virginia licensure to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
Must have Early Intervention Certification or willing to obtain certification through Infant & Toddler Connection
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload
Schedule/Compensation:
PRN (as-needed); build your caseload at your own pace
